The impact of the startup ecosystem on learners decision to start a business - Research at private universities in Ho Chi Minh City
Abstract:
The burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem in Vietnam has experienced notable advancements in quantity and quality within business incubation and acceleration facilities. Vietnam is positioned at 46 out of 132 in terms of its innovative and inventive entrepreneurial ecosystem. Notwithstanding, even though endeavors are underway to establish policies supporting ecosystems or entrepreneurial incubation within academic institutions to foster entrepreneurial ventures, data indicates that merely 2-3% of students express an interest in entrepreneurship. This figure pales in comparison to global and regional counterparts. Consequently, this manuscript aims to identify the prevailing factors within the Vietnamese entrepreneurial ecosystem to enhance and allocate more resources towards nurturing the entrepreneurial drive among young individuals, particularly students enrolled in private universities located in Ho Chi Minh City. A theoretical framework will be developed encompassing crucial hypotheses.
